Joe Tacopina

One of the US’s most famed criminal defense lawyers, Joe Tacopina is the current president of Serie B side SPAL. A Brooklyn, NY native of Italian descent, Tacopina was one of the first Americans to venture into Italian soccer. His journey started in 2011, when he sat on the board of AS Roma, and continued at Bologna and Venezia, where he became the first president to win three promotions in a row from 2014 to 2017. He is now in his second year at SPAL, a club that he hopes to bring back to the grand stage of Serie A.
