This analysis highlights <strong>key insights<\/strong> from the new market values, offering a deeper understanding of how <strong>player values<\/strong> and <strong>squad compositions<\/strong> are shifting. It also provides a picture of which teams are poised for <strong>success<\/strong> this season and where the most promising <strong>young talent<\/strong> can be found, particularly in leagues outside the <strong>traditional powerhouses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1-1-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19729\" style=\"width:398px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1-1-819x1024.png 819w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1-1-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1-1-768x960.png 768w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key findings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mbapp\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>Haaland<\/strong>, and <strong>Bellingham<\/strong> are the three most valuable players in the world according to <strong>Football Benchmark<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>17-year-old <strong>Lamine Yamal<\/strong>\u2019s value has increased by <strong>EUR 46 million<\/strong> since June after exceptional performances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are several players outside the biggest <strong>European leagues<\/strong> who already have a high <strong>market value<\/strong> attached to them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recent growth of <strong>Saudi football<\/strong> is clearly visible in the list of most valuable squads outside Europe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A 17-year-old \u201cworld-beater&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting at the top end of <strong>Football Benchmark\u2019s<\/strong> latest player valuations, the data platform illustrates some of the usual suspects in the <strong>Top 10 player valuations<\/strong> with <strong>Kylian Mbapp\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>Erling Haaland<\/strong>, and <strong>Jude Bellingham<\/strong> coming in <strong>1st<\/strong>, <strong>2nd<\/strong>, and <strong>3rd<\/strong>. Kylian Mbapp\u00e9\u2019s recent transfer to <strong>Real Madrid CF<\/strong> has put the Frenchman at the top of the standings once again. Notably, his previous market value in June was <strong>EUR 0<\/strong> in our model because his contract with <strong>Paris Saint-Germain FC<\/strong> was close to expiration.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2-1-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19732\" style=\"width:630px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2-1-819x1024.png 819w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2-1-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2-1-768x960.png 768w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The two big movers in the Top 10 are <strong>Florian Wirtz<\/strong> and <strong>Lamine Yamal<\/strong>, with the former\u2019s value increasing by <strong>EUR 10 million<\/strong> thanks to an exceptional <strong>2023\/24 Bundesliga<\/strong> season and a prominent role for \u201cdie Mannschaft\u201d at <strong>Euro 2024<\/strong> on home soil. In a similar vein, Yamal\u2019s <strong>EUR 46 million valuation rise<\/strong> stems from his step from precocious talent to immense centrepiece as he became the focal point of <strong>La Roja<\/strong>\u2019s victorious Euro 2024 campaign and <strong>FC Barcelona<\/strong>\u2019s good start to the <strong>2024\/25 season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meteoric rise of Yamal places him <strong>1st<\/strong> among all players in the <strong>Football Benchmark Player Valuation<\/strong> platform in terms of valuation increase since the last update in June. <strong>PSG\u2019s Jo\u00e3o Neves<\/strong> and <strong>Manchester United FC\u2019s Kobbie Mainoo<\/strong> came in <strong>2nd<\/strong> and <strong>3rd<\/strong>, respectively. The Portuguese\u2019s value has risen after his recent transfer to the French capital, and Mainoo\u2019s increase is attributed to well and truly breaking into the starting <strong>XI<\/strong> of his club side and inclusions in the <strong>England national team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, all players in the Top 10 were aged <strong>23 and younger<\/strong> as of the September update, and five of the 10 players had transferred clubs in the <strong>2024\/25 summer transfer window<\/strong>. Additionally, despite not technically moving during the 2024\/25 summer window, <strong>Est\u00eav\u00e3o<\/strong> has already agreed to a future transfer to join <strong>Chelsea FC<\/strong> next summer once he turns <strong>18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/3-1-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19734\" style=\"width:589px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/3-1-819x1024.png 819w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/3-1-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/3-1-768x960.png 768w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/3-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gems in the rough<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The previously mentioned players are almost all <strong>household names<\/strong> with significant market values, and for a transfer to happen for one of these players, a club would need to commit significant <strong>financial resources<\/strong>. However, where could clubs identify the next young <strong>superstars<\/strong>? Well, thanks to the <strong>Football Benchmark Player Valuation platform<\/strong>, players from less well-known leagues and their current market values can be easily found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a list of promising young talent, stronger leagues that would demand more money in exchange for their players had to be excluded. Thus, utilising <strong>UEFA\u2019s<\/strong> association club coefficient ranking as of September 2024, the 10 strongest <strong>European leagues<\/strong> have been excluded from our search. Additionally, as clubs are increasingly looking for younger players who can grow, develop, and increase in value, a filter has been added that only players who were <strong>22 or younger<\/strong> as of <strong>1st September 2024<\/strong> have been included in the assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Top 10 young talent based on <strong>Football Benchmark<\/strong> estimated market values are as follows. Firstly, on top of this list is the <strong>Ukrainian<\/strong>, <strong>Georgiy Sudakov<\/strong> from <strong>Shakhtar Donetsk<\/strong>, whose market value of <strong>EUR 34 million<\/strong> can be attributed to his regular appearances for his club team as well as the <strong>Ukraine national team<\/strong> since the beginning of the <strong>2023\/24 season<\/strong>. He extended his contract at the <strong>Ukrainian champions<\/strong> this February until <strong>2028<\/strong>, which protects his market value.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/4-1-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19736\" style=\"width:518px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/4-1-819x1024.png 819w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/4-1-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/4-1-768x960.png 768w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/4-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>A club with multiple players on this list is <strong>RB Salzburg<\/strong>. Their three players (<strong>Oscar Gloukh<\/strong>, <strong>Karim Konat\u00e9<\/strong>, and <strong>Lucas Gourna-Douath<\/strong>) are a testament to <strong>Salzburg\u2019s<\/strong> and the wider <strong>Red Bull MCO model\u2019s<\/strong> scouting and overall recruitment process as each of them originate from very different parts of the world. Additionally, given the success of past <strong>Salzburg alumni<\/strong> (e.g., <strong>Erling Haaland<\/strong>, <strong>Dayot Upamecano<\/strong>, and <strong>Dominik Szoboszlai<\/strong>), it would not be a stretch to assume that these three current <strong>Salzburg players<\/strong> will be sold above their current market values (<strong>EUR 27.9<\/strong>, <strong>19.8<\/strong>, and <strong>18.5 million<\/strong>, respectively) at a future date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, attempting to find players who haven\u2019t yet been poached by <strong>Europe\u2019s elite clubs<\/strong> is a challenge (a trend that is present in our Top 10 list) as some high-potential players have already agreed to join, are on loan from, or have previously played at some of these elite clubs. As mentioned earlier, Est\u00eav\u00e3o has already agreed to a future transfer to join <strong>Chelsea<\/strong>. Similarly, <strong>Claudio Echeverri<\/strong> joined <strong>Manchester City FC<\/strong> only to be loaned back to <strong>River Plate<\/strong> for the <strong>2024<\/strong> calendar year. Even players at the lower end of the Top 10 (<strong>\u00c2ngelo<\/strong> and <strong>Carlos Alcaraz<\/strong>) played for European clubs before being sold to teams in <strong>Brazil<\/strong> and <strong>Saudi Arabia<\/strong>. This shows that well-established clubs are hoovering up talented players with high market values and that there are few truly \u2018hidden\u2019 <strong>wonderkids<\/strong> on the market.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/5-1-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19738\" style=\"width:544px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/5-1-819x1024.png 819w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/5-1-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/5-1-768x960.png 768w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/5-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The lion\u2019s share<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The data from the September update of the <strong>Football Benchmark Player Valuation platform<\/strong> also illustrates which players&#8217; market value contributes most significantly to their club\u2019s total <strong>squad value<\/strong> in the <strong>\u201cBig Five\u201d leagues<\/strong>. On top of this list are two <strong>Ivorian players<\/strong> (<strong>Hamed Junior Traor\u00e8<\/strong> and <strong>S\u00e9bastien Haller<\/strong>) who are alone \u201cresponsible\u201d for over <strong>27%<\/strong> of their current squad&#8217;s total market value. The reason for such a high proportion is that these players are currently on loan, and their values reflect their parent clubs\u2019 significantly higher revenues. This notion is also apparent for <strong>Paul Wanner<\/strong>, whose current market value of <strong>EUR 12.9 million<\/strong> is influenced by his status as a <strong>FC Bayern M\u00fcnchen<\/strong> player, and as such, his <strong>Football Benchmark market value<\/strong> is high relative to everyone else in his current side\u2019s squad (<strong>1. FC Heidenheim<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the lower end of the Top 10 are some players who are dominant forces at their current club. Such names include <strong>Khvicha Kvaratskhelia<\/strong>, <strong>Juli\u00e1n Alvarez<\/strong>, <strong>Florian Wirtz<\/strong>, and <strong>Jonathan David<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The return of the king(s)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From a total squad value perspective, <strong>Real Madrid CF<\/strong> have reclaimed the top spot as their squad value has increased by <strong>EUR 243 million<\/strong> to <strong>EUR 1,373 million<\/strong>. This substantial increase can be mostly attributed to the acquisition of a certain <strong>Kylian Mbapp\u00e9<\/strong>, who &#8211; as mentioned earlier &#8211; now has a <strong>EUR 233.2 million<\/strong> market valuation. Conversely, <strong>2nd place Manchester City FC<\/strong> have had their total squad value reduced by <strong>EUR 71 million<\/strong>, which is attributable to the sale of <strong>Juli\u00e1n Alvarez<\/strong> and the market value decline of older stars such as <strong>Kevin De Bruyne<\/strong> and <strong>Ederson<\/strong> (both decreasing in market value by EUR 7+ million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notable movers are <strong>PSG<\/strong> and <strong>Manchester United FC<\/strong>, whose total squad values have increased by <strong>EUR 99 million<\/strong> and <strong>EUR 163 million<\/strong> apiece. Both increases are due to spending splurges to bring in talent in the <strong>2024\/25 summer window<\/strong>, highlighted by the acquisitions of <strong>Jo\u00e3o Neves<\/strong> and <strong>Leny Yoro<\/strong>, respectively. On the side of the spectrum, <strong>FC Barcelona&#8217;s<\/strong> <strong>EUR 77 million<\/strong> decrease in total squad value had been fuelled by the exits of players such as <strong>\u0130lkay G\u00fcndo\u011fan<\/strong>, <strong>Jo\u00e3o Cancelo<\/strong>, and <strong>Jo\u00e3o F\u00e9lix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6-1-819x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19740\" style=\"width:558px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6-1-819x1024.png 819w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6-1-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6-1-768x960.png 768w, https:\/\/www.socialfootballsummit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pearl of the Gulf<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at only <strong>first division club sides<\/strong> outside of leagues from <strong>UEFA\u2019s top 10 ranked associations<\/strong>, it is clear that multiple clubs with the highest total squad values are from <strong>Saudi Arabia<\/strong>. In fact, four are ranked among the <strong>Top 10<\/strong> with <strong>Al-Hilal SFC<\/strong> being in <strong>second place<\/strong> with a total squad value of <strong>EUR 207 million<\/strong>. These <strong>Saudi club squad values<\/strong> show the <strong>ambition<\/strong> of authorities in the country to grow the game. First and third on the list are two <strong>Brazilian clubs<\/strong> in <strong>CR Flamengo<\/strong> and <strong>SE Palmeiras<\/strong>, whose total squad market values are <strong>EUR 210<\/strong> and <strong>195 million<\/strong>, respectively. Interestingly, despite being known for <strong>producing talent<\/strong>, the average age of these Brazilian squads is not the lowest on this particular list.
