Before outlining the ESG activities, however, Uva wanted to outline the scope of the event in terms of personnel involved, cumulative audience, and economic impact. &#8220;<em>We sold<strong> 2.7 million<\/strong> tickets, with a cumulative audience of <strong>5.4 billion<\/strong> and over<strong> 4.5 million<\/strong> social media impressions<\/em>&#8220;, said Uva. &#8220;<em>Furthermore, nearly <strong>\u20ac3 billion<\/strong> in revenue was generated, part of which was used to organize the event, while the rest was redistributed to European federations<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SFS 24 panel - Euro 2024 ESG Strategy\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FgLL6Kpt8sA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ambition, action, and accountability<\/strong> were the three pillars upon which the entire ESG strategy was developed, in a collaborative effort involving all engaged stakeholders. For EURO2024, a budget of <strong>30 million euros<\/strong> was allocated\u2014a record-breaking amount compared to previous editions\u2014invested in key areas such as circular economy, the creation of a climate fund, and the implementation of high-impact social tools<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;We distributed <strong>10,000 tickets<\/strong> to people with reduced mobility, in addition to designing an <strong>ADC (Assistive Deaf Communication)<\/strong> system that enabled <strong>41,000 <\/strong>deaf individuals to fully experience match day. Furthermore, we invested <strong>1 million euros<\/strong> in risk assessment activities, signing a declaration with the German government to ensure respect for human rights and prevent instances of online abuse,&#8221;<\/em> said Uva, emphasizing the commitment and care that characterized the tournament as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ESG strategies implemented are also available for consultation through an online report published in November 2024, containing publicly accessible data and figures.
