Today, in Milan, at the Assembly Hall of Lega Calcio Serie A, the press conference to present the eighth edition of SFS – Social Football Summit, the only Italian event of international relevance dedicated to the football industry, was held with speeches by Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo, journalists and hosts Giulia Mizzoni, Carolina Tha, and Anna Maria Baccaro, and SFS Director Massimo Tucci.
The 2025 edition marks an important turning point in the history of the Summit: for the first time, the event will take place in Turin, at the Allianz Stadium, on November 18 and 19.
“We are proud to have supported SFS since its inception. Over the years, the event has grown to become an international benchmark for the football industry and a true laboratory of ideas for the entire football system,” said Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A. “Our participation in SFS25, together with the Marketing, Digital, and CSR Commissions, reflects the League’s commitment to actively contribute to the growth of the sector by focusing on innovation, sustainability, and cooperation. The Turin edition confirms the event’s strong roots in Italy, as well as its global outlook, which will continue with the SFS Snack in Riyadh in December – another opportunity to promote the value and vision of Italian football around the world.”
Two days of discussion, networking, and innovation, featuring a rich program of talks, panels, interviews, and training sessions focused on the most current and strategic topics in the world of football and sports business.
The SFS25 stage sessions will explore the key themes of the football industry with panels and presentations led by leading professionals in the field: media, fan engagement and digital disruption, tech and innovation, finance and economics, impact, inclusion, diversity, responsibility and sustainability, health, and tourism.
SFS is also distinguished by its strong commitment to sustainability. Organized in Italy by an innovative SME, the Summit holds a sustainability certification, making it a unique example among international sports events.
This commitment is further strengthened by the collaboration with Lega Serie A, which, during SFS25, will host the CSR Commission with representatives from all Serie A clubs, confirming a shared commitment to promoting a responsible and sustainable model of football development.
This year’s lineup includes, among others: Romy Gai (FIFA), Michele Uva (UEFA), Luigi De Siervo and Michele Ciccarese (Lega Serie A), Jes Buster Madsen (Saudi Pro League), Mariagrazia Squicciarini (UNESCO), Luciano Buonfiglio (CONI), Daria Braga (Laureus), Alexander Mühl (Borussia Dortmund), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Roberto Mancini, Claudio Fenucci (Bologna FC), Rocio Torres (Atletico de Madrid), Emily Defroand (West Ham United), Tim Griffith (Fulham), Antonio Amati (Almaviva), Sergio Gianotti (AWS), Andrea Peron (Adobe), along with representatives from other international clubs such as Barcelona, Liverpool, Everton, Wolves, Copenhagen, and the Saudi Pro League.
Two days of talks, interviews, Working Groups, and networking will bring together executives, experts, institutions, and brands to share visions and strategies on the global evolution of the football industry.
A lineup of top experts will offer a global perspective on key topics such as innovation, sports infrastructure, sustainability, governance, and digital transformation in football.
One of the major innovations of SFS25 will be the introduction of Working Groups dedicated to co-creating a “Manifesto of Ideas and Projects” on key themes shaping the future of the football industry: Artificial Intelligence and Football Intelligence, Infrastructures and Stadiums of the Future, and Female Leadership in Sport. Each roundtable will feature technical experts, sports executives, corporate representatives, and institutions, with the goal of outlining new guidelines and concrete proposals for the evolution of the system.
“SFS25 represents an important step forward in our journey,” commented Gianfilippo Valentini, CEO of SFS. “Bringing the Summit to Turin’s Allianz Stadium sends a strong signal of growth, openness, and dialogue across the entire football ecosystem. The support of Lega Serie A, our Global Partner since the first edition, is a source of pride and responsibility: together we have built a meeting point that connects institutions, clubs, companies, and professionals with the shared goal of growing the entire football industry.”
The exhibition area will further expand, hosting major brands, start-ups, and innovative projects from across the sector. A brand-new addition to the 2025 edition is the “Off The Pitch” Speaker Corner, a dynamic space for brand presentations, book launches, and format showcases.
In this area, new books by Marco Bellinazzo, Vito Cozzoli, and Giorgio Perinetti will be presented, featuring contributions from Massimo Mauro and Giovanni Tosco, among others — an initiative designed to foster dialogue between sports culture and innovation.
Also returning this year is the “SFS Extratime” Start-Up Competition, organized in collaboration with Almaviva, dedicated to technological and digital innovation in football, as well as the traditional SFS Awards evening, scheduled for November 18 at OGR Turin, celebrating companies, clubs, professionals, and projects that have excelled internationally in innovation, social impact, and performance.
Confirmed once again for this edition is the charity partnership with AIL – the Italian Association Against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma, underscoring the Summit’s commitment to the values of solidarity, inclusion, and the social impact of sport..
