The Minister for Sport and Youths will open the 1st edition of the Master’s Degree Course in Sports Law and Sports Management at the University of Bari for the 2023-24 academic year.

The lectio magistralis is scheduled for Monday, 26 February at 3.30 p.m. in the ‘Aldo Moro’ Lecture Hall of the University of Bari’s Department of Law, in Piazza Cesare Battisti 1. The opening will be greeted by the Rector Prof. Stefano Bronzini, the SAMS degree course Coordinator Prof. Silvio Tafuri and the introduction entrusted to the Master’s coordinator Prof. Domenico Costantino.

The Social Football Summit is a partner of the Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Management, offering a comprehensive training programme designed to provide advanced knowledge in the legal and management world of sport.

It is a challenge for sport, for its protagonists and for those who approach a complex world to become professionals: the Master’s Degree Course in “Sports Law and Sports Management” (University of Bari “Aldo Moro” – Academic Year 2023/2024) was born with this strong idea and a defined mission. The Master’s Degree Course in “Sports Law and Management” aims to train highly qualified professionals prepared to face the unique challenges present in the world of sport. The training programme is designed to provide advanced knowledge in the legal and management world of sport.

The course is designed for those who wish to develop a successful career in the sports industry, combining a sound understanding of legal issues with strategic management skills.

The Course is structured to ensure a balance between theory and practice, with courses covering a wide range of topics, including:

– Fundamentals of Sports Law

– Contracts and Negotiation in Sport

– Marketing and Communication in the Sport Sector

– Planning and Organisation of Sport Events

– Sport and Finance

– Sports Justice

The Master’s Course, lasting a total of 12 months, is divided into 3 Modules for a total of 1,500 hours (of which 360 hours of face-to-face teaching), corresponding to 60 training credits (CFU). Lessons will be held on Friday and Saturday mornings. The Master’s teaching activities make use of innovative methodologies aimed at making the student the protagonist of the learning process. Attendance at the training activities is compulsory and must not be less than 80% of the total teaching activities of the course. In order to focus on the specific needs of the enrolled students, the Master’s course can be followed in presence or at a distance. This choice represents the ideal solution for all participants as it offers them the opportunity to attend the lessons in presence and – for those who are unable to attend the University of Bari – to attend the course at a distance.
