From June 5th to 7th, an appointment with the hot topics of Serie A and beyond: three days packed with insights on the future, innovation, and inclusion in the world of football

From June 5th to 7th, Parma will host the third edition of the Festival della Serie A. The three-day event will be structured around macro-themes, featuring panels that explore relevant topics in both national and international football.

Discussions will span from the importance of young talent to inclusive dynamics, as well as the conscious use of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to football. Furthermore, the event will cover the growth of women’s football, transfer market insights, and the fixture release for the upcoming season. Exceptional guests, international broadcasters, and institutional representatives will gather in Parma, transforming the city into a global hub for the entire football industry for three days.

The event will officially kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Sala Scudetto at the Ridotto del Teatro Regio, attended by Luigi De Siervo (CEO of Lega Calcio Serie A), Michele Guerra (Mayor of Parma), and Giorgio Chiellini. Following the opening, the Festival’s various key panels will begin, aligning closely with several themes highlighted in the Social Football Summit (SFS) Manifesto.

On Friday, June 5th, in the Sala Coppa Italia, renowned content creators such as Michele Danese (Creator for Lega Calcio Serie A) and Agnese Nespoli (Kings League/FIGC) will discuss the importance of youth and their impact on the football ecosystem during the panel “I giovani che cambiano il Calcio” (Youth Changing Football), moderated by Michele Pedrotti (Radio TV Serie A). Simultaneously, in the Sala Scudetto, Ezio Simonelli (President of the Serie A General Assembly), Paolo Bedin (President of Lega B), Umberto Calcagno (President of AIC), and Matteo Marani (President of Lega Pro) will be interviewed by Sport Mediaset director Alberto Brandi on the current state and future prospects of Italian football.

In the second half of the day, the focus will shift to new technologies and stadium infrastructure. Relevant tech and AI figures will take the stage during “The Intelligent Game: When Football Meets Algorithms, Communities, and the Future” in the Sala Scudetto.

Claudio Lotito and Tommaso Giulini, alongside Massimo Sessa (Extraordinary Commissioner for Stadiums) and Ernesto Fürstenberg Fassio (President of Banca Ifis), will analyze the “stadium issue,” highlighting sustainable pillars through the use of eco-friendly technologies during the panel “Il futuro degli stadi italiani” (The Future of Italian Stadiums, sponsored by Banca Ifis).

At 6:30 PM, the countdown begins for “Conto alla rovescia”, the live presentation of the Serie A Enilive 2026/27 fixtures at the Teatro Regio. The event will be hosted by Lorenzo Dallari and Chiara Giuffrida, featuring special guests Fabio Capello and Ciro Ferrara. Just two hours later, moving to the Sala Coppa Italia, Paolo Bedin and Fabio Guadagnini (Marketing, Commercial, and Communication Director of Lega B) will discuss the second tier of Italian football in “Proud to B”, joined by three historic league players: Daniele Cacia, Dario Hubner, and Stefan Schwoch.

The following day, Saturday, June 6th, the spotlight will turn to two prominent club executives: Giuseppe Marotta (“Uno storico Double”, Sala Scudetto) and Mirwan Suwarso (“Como, quando il sogno diventa realtà”), representing Inter F.C. and Como 1907 respectively—two of the most ambitious and internationally-minded clubs in the Italian football landscape.

Sessions scattered between the Sala Coppa Italia and Sala Scudetto—such as “Il Calcio che unisce: responsabilità sociale e Lega Serie A” (Football that Unites: Social Responsibility and Lega Serie A), the exclusive premiere screening of the docufilm “One Passion, Many Colors” produced by Lega Calcio Serie A, and “Il valore del Calcio Femminile” (The Value of Women’s Football)—will feature exceptional speakers like Michele Ciccarese (Commercial and Marketing Director of Lega Calcio Serie A). These panels will emphasize the importance of adopting an inclusive mindset, raising awareness, and fostering respect in football, fully aligned with the aforementioned SFS Manifesto.

The promotion of young talent will take center stage once again during the workshop “La Primavera della Serie A” at 5:30 PM in the Sala Coppa Italia, featuring sporting directors and academy coaches from Italy’s top clubs. The ball will then be passed to three legends of Italian football: Alessandro Del Piero, Paolo Casarin (former international referee), and Roberto Mancini. The day will conclude with a Gala Dinner at the Complesso della Pilotta, followed by special live transfer market sessions hosted by SportItalia running until midnight.

On the final day, Sunday, June 7th, attendees can enjoy an exclusive preview of the DAZN-produced docufilm “Uno, Nessuno, Manenti”, centered on the former Parma FC owner Giampietro Manenti. The screening will be backed by insights from Michele Dalai (Senior Vice President of Content at DAZN and author of the docufilm), Franco Vanni (La Repubblica, co-author), and Maurizio Vassallo (CEO of Except).

At 11:30 PM, heading toward the grand finale of the Festival, Piero Ausilio (Sporting Director of Inter), Andrea Berta (Sporting Director of Arsenal), Ariedo Braida (former Sporting Director of Milan), Nicolas Burdisso (Sporting Director of Monza), and Adriano Galliani will take the stage for “I Signori del Calciomercato” (The Masters of the Transfer Market). The event will officially wrap up with closing remarks from Luigi De Siervo and Michele Guerra, who will bid farewell to the audience and recap the three days (“Arrivederci Festival”).

An exciting three-day event packed with former players, content creators, and iconic figures from the Italian sports industry, such as Dan Peterson and many others. Parma is set to become an incredible networking platform once again—and we will, of course, be there. We highly recommend checking the official program closely to stay updated on one of the most interesting events the football industry has to offer.

Talking about sustainability has become easy. Actually building it is a completely different story. The difference between a club with a genuine ESG journey and one that merely uses ESG as a communication tool lies entirely here: in the method, the tools, and the numbers. Not in the intentions. In this context, it is essential to understand the concrete steps required to build an effective ESG framework—one that delivers measurable results and stands up to scrutiny from UEFA, sponsors, and institutional

By Giulia Pezzano, Senior Immigration Analyst, Arce Immigration Law (Miami) In football, the opportunity to relocate to the United States does not always arise from a player transfer. Sometimes it begins with an academy, a training center, a scouting platform, a sports-tech company, or a former player ready to turn reputation into ownership. For Italian football entrepreneurs looking at the U.S. market, the E-2 visa may be one of the most underused and commercially powerful immigration strategies available. As the United States

The future of Italian football inevitably runs through the feet, minds, and value of its young players. This strategic pillar took center stage at Coverciano, the "home" of Italian football, where Lega Serie B—in collaboration with the Social Football Summit—organized a high-level conference titled: ‘The Importance of Human Capital in Football: The Role of Youth Academies as a Lever for Development and Sustainability’. The day was entirely dedicated to Academy systems and youth sector professionals, structured into three panel discussions featuring

The shared vision uniting AIL and SFS: how football and digital innovation transform fan passion into tangible support for scientific research In the landscape of the modern football industry, the concept of "fan engagement" is evolving towards an increasingly ethical and responsible dimension. It is no longer just about selling a ticket or a jersey, but about creating deep connections that can generate a real, tangible impact on society. The "Donare Esperienze" initiative, promoted by AIL (Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and

There’s a question that is being heard more and more often in executive rooms across the sports world: how do you measure the sustainability of a football club? The answer isn’t simple—but it does exist. And the clubs that have found it first are already reaping the benefits. Measuring ESG impact doesn’t mean filling out a questionnaire once a year. It means building a data collection system that works continuously, covers very different areas, and produces numbers that can be compared

From World Cup seizures to budget deficits: how counterfeiting stunts club growth and why marketing must pivot toward pricing and digital assets The latest international crackdown, resulting in the seizure of thousands of counterfeit kits destined for the upcoming World Cup, is merely the tip of the iceberg of a phenomenon that has reached industrial proportions. While top clubs' marketing departments spend months perfecting every detail of a new kit launch, unofficial versions—nearly identical and sold at a fraction of the

By Giulia Pezzano, Senior Immigration Analyst, Arce Immigration Law (Miami) A player transfer rarely involves just one person. When time is short and performance depends on trusted support staff, the little-known O-1/O-2 visa strategy can help move both the athlete and the essential team around the athlete faster, more smoothly, and often at a lower overall cost. In the football market, time is money. Clubs have narrow transfer windows, and coaches often want the athlete in camp immediately. A commercial team is

When ESG is mentioned in football, the first reaction is often the same: it’s a topic for large multinationals, not for sports clubs. Or: it’s a matter of image, not business. Both positions are understandable, especially for those who haven’t yet had the chance to engage concretely with what is happening in the market. But the facts tell a different story—and it’s worth understanding it. ESG stands for Environmental, Social, Governance. These are three dimensions that measure how sustainable an organization

The panel "Are football infrastructures a real investment?" addressed a crucial question for the future of Italian football: do investments in stadiums and sports centers truly generate value? The answer, which emerged from the discussion among experts from Deloitte and representatives of virtuous clubs like Fiorentina, Cagliari, and Udinese, was unanimous: yes, but only if integrated into a 360-degree business model. Present on stage were: Alessandro Ferrari (Fiorentina), Stefano Melis (Cagliari), Luigi Capitanio (Deloitte), Franco Collavino (Udinese), and the panel
